High Street Veterans is a State-funded family development consisting of 177 units of one, two and three-bedrooms in three story, garden-style apartment buildings with mostly six units per entrance. There are also nine wheelchair-accessible, ranch-type units. The development is located in a residential area of Brookline on New Terrace Road, High and Chestnut Streets with the Manager's office located at 220 High Street (rear), but which is entered off of New Terrace Road.

The development is within easy walking distance to the Jamaica Pond, parks and the newly renovated Lincoln grammar school. It is four blocks to Brookline Village, Route 9, and the Green Line's "D" Reservoir trolley. The #60 bus, whose route runs between the mall at Chestnut Hill to Kenmore Square, stops in front of the development on High Street. In the development itself there is a community room, a computer learning center, a children's playground, a police substation, and assigned parking, subject to availability.
